Barton Evangelical Church

Missions

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’”

As part of our response to Jesus's command, the church supports a number of home and overseas missions and individual missionaries. Click on a logo for more information.

Caring For Life is a registered Christian charity, based in Leeds, with the aim of sharing the love of Jesus with homeless or vulnerable people. Their motto is simple, "Sharing the Love of Jesus." The London City Mission exists to share with the people of London, patiently, sensitively and individually the transforming love of God in Jesus Christ, and to enable them to join his Church.

The Spanish Gospel Mission supports four Spanish couples and one English couple working in churches and a conference centre in central Spain. The UK office is here in Barton. The Sahara Desert Mission is a small mission working in north west Niger. They do not have a web site; the link is to "Operation World" which provides information on the country and on Christian work in Niger.

We have close links with the New Tribes Mission through students at their training college (near Grimsby), a group of whom regularly worship with us. The Unevangelised Fields Mission has recently added Eastern Ukraine to its fields. A couple, with links to the church, are now living there, preparing for a teaching ministry supporting the local churches.
